Once the funeral has been arranged, it is common to place a notice in the local paper intimating that the person has died, and letting friends and family know of the funeral arrangements. The funeral notice is something that the Funeral Director will be able to assist with the writing of. Usually a notice for local newspapers would be of the following structure. Notices for other papers may differ slightly, but will usually be of the same basic format.
